With my country's increasing attention to fire safety and the gradual improvement of relevant laws and regulations, the potential of the domestic market for flame retardants will gradually be tapped. It is predicted that China's demand for flame retardants will grow steadily at a rate of about 15%14. In fact, from 2005 to 2012, the proportion of flame retardant consumption in other Asian regions represented by China (except Japan) has increased from 18% to 29% of the world. Considering the large demand for polymer materials such as plastics and rubber in the Chinese market, and the current flame retardant ratio that is significantly lower than the global average, there is broad room for growth in the domestic market demand for flame retardants in the future.

Jiangsu, Guangdong and Shanghai are the main flame retardant consumption areas. Enterprises in these regions produce various types of flame retardant products, which are sold domestically and exported to other countries.

In the downstream application areas of flame retardants, plastics account for about 80%, rubber accounts for about 10%, textiles account for about 5%, coatings account for about 3%, and paper, wood and others account for about 2%.
